Two-brand architecture (BOSS & HUGO)

Since 2017 the group has simplified to two global brands: BOSS (upper-premium, tailoring-led lifestyle) and HUGO (more youthful, fashion-forward). Earlier sub-labels (Orange/Green) were folded in to sharpen the message and scale media more efficiently.

#BeYourOwnBOSS

The #BeYourOwnBOSS relaunch brought new wordmarks, bolder colour systems and a social-first launch that drove 1.9 billion impressions and 75 million engagements in its first days. That reset underpins the brand’s current “24/7 lifestyle” playbook and its celebrity-heavy campaigns.

F1 partnership with Aston Martin (since 2022)

BOSS returned to Formula 1 as official fashion partner to Aston Martin, dressing drivers and team with branding on-car and collections at retail. The deal re-anchors motorsport in BOSS’s marketing DNA.

Reckoning with its Nazi-era past

The company commissioned an independent study (Roman Köster, 2011) on its WWII history, publicly apologised and contributed to compensation funds for forced labourers. It’s a difficult chapter, but one the company put on record instead of ignoring.
